Industry Coding
The Current Employment Statistics (CES) program defines Series IDs corresponding to “industry codes” that are based on the 2022 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS 2022). The following Series IDs are represented in this data visualization:
CES6561130001 (privately owned colleges and universities) . Industry code 65611300 (Private junior colleges, colleges, universities, and professional schools). Includes NAICS codes 6112 and 6113.
CES9092161101 (publicly owned postsecondary schools) . Industry code 90921611 (State government education). There is no corresponding NAICS code.
